چکیده
Abstract Background Lung cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer, of which non-small cell lung (NSCLC) accounts for approximately 80% newly cancer. The prognosis tumors depends on early and accurate staging as well histopathological type tumor. It suggested that NSCLC with different types primary tumor sizes can elicit variable max.SUV values 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG) PET/CT lymph nodes distant metastatic potential. In this study, we aim to evaluate relationship between maximum SUV measured pathological type, size, node metastasis, metastasis in NSCLC. Results This a cross-sectional analysis (FDG-PET/CT) findings 40 patients Statistical used determine correlation each nodal ( N ) M staging. were 25 (62.5%) adenocarcinomas, 12 (30%) squamous carcinomas 3 (7.5%) large carcinomas. size carcinoma group significantly higher than adenocarcinoma groups P = 0.000009). A significant positive was found tumoral size. Neither nor metastases involvement correlated max.SUV. Conclusions histologic subtype both strongly influence FDG uptake Nonetheless, cannot be regarded predictive or involvement.

Association between VEGFR-3 expression and lymph node metastasis in non-small-cell lung cancer
Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR)-3 is considered to be associated with lymphangiogenesis. The aim of the present study was to identify the clinical significance of VEGFR-3 expression and lymph node metastasis in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Lung tumor tissue samples and 196 lymph nodes from 52 patients with NSCLC were analyzed. In addition, lung tissue sa...

AIM To investigate the correlation between [¹⁸F]fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake in a primary tumor and pathologic N stages, and to further analyze the possible risk factors contributing to the regional lymph node metastasis. PATIENTS AND METHODS Eighty patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who underwent positron emission tomography/computed tomography were enrolled in the study. Th...
متن کاملCorrelation between p33ING1b Cytoplasmic Transfer and Lymph Node Metastasis in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Background: Oral squamous cell carcinoma is the sixth most common malignancy in the world today. ING1b/p33 is a newly-discovered tumor suppressor which enhances p53 activity. Transfer of p33 protein from nucleus to cytoplasmic compartment has been previously reported in leukemias. The objective of this study was to determine the correlation between p33ing1b cytoplasmic transfer and lymph node ...

متن کاملCushing’s syndrome associated with typical, peripheral pulmonary carcinoid tumor and N2 lymph node metastasis: case report
Background: The bronchopulmonary carcinoid tumor accounts for 1-2% of all adult malignancies of the lung and 20-30% of all carcinoid tumors. Cushing’s syndrome is the result of chronic exposure to increased concentration of exogenous or endo-genus cortisol hormone, and it is generally associated with central obesity, metabolic syndrome, and hypertension. Treatment is based on decreasing cortiso...
